Goodbye to Lost

For those that know me in the "real world" you are likely to know of my addiction to LOST the tv show. I only watch one television show these days - and that was it ( my other shows are all on HBO and well it is always a year between seasons!) So this was it.. the end of lost..

WOW , at first I thought , this is how they end it? And then the reflection came, and I was stunned at how well they did do it.. six years - I did not miss an single episode and in fact - I own each season.. We had a "LOST"  party.  The cake was AMAZING .. my mom's creative design. (oh and the yummy food everyone brought or made!)

I am pleased as I reflect to day, on how the messages of the show were there the entire time from start to finish, how the symbols were what they were through out and they stayed true to it from start to end.. with a little detour now and again.. but overall it was there.

Any show that can end by communicating that the connections we make in our lives, the choices we make, and the lives we create - are our making and we can't do it alone.. pretty good stuff - while  trying to honour as many faiths in one TV angle shot ( the stain glass window held many religious symbols - the menorah, ying-yang, cross and that is what I saw the first viewing)

It could not be a more appropriate ending as - I in my life -- learn to let go of things , and I focus on the most important connections in my life.  This show brought my family together , we spent the last year talking, discussing and laughing together over this show. Maybe in the end the reason so many people could connect with this show - WAS because the message was so simple, so human.

I will wonder and likely watch it all over again, but today --- I will connect and love those most important to me knowing that I am making my life one moment at a time and it is never to late to change any direction I take!

So.. my dear family ...

I haven't seen this show at all, so I guess it's time to get with the program! Especially since I just finished reading another blog where the author HATED the way it ended and blasted the writers! I love it when that happens--it's enough to really draw me in. I'm very curious now!

Isn't that funny --- I have heard so many mixed reviews! I think LOST is a show that could be watched many ways - and the response is EXACTLY what they would want -- crazy LOSTIE that I am
