High Ho High Ho its off to work I go.

Yesturday I walked half way to work - and I did this so I could capture some of my favourite morning sightings.. not all the things that make me smile --- but a few.

This garden on Broadview -- I watch it all year long -- it starts every spring as a garden of glass covering the buds on tender new plants, as the summer approaches the glass containers disapear and beautiful flowers and herbs emerge, as the leaves fall it becomes a garden of Autum flowers. then as the snow falls the flowers die and it starts all over again .. it is always a beautiful sight.

This Red door is one of a few I see in a row of towns on Broadview -- I love them -- they are the closest we have around us to some fantastic row houses I saw when in New York -- three story street access with roof top gardens. love them!

Serendipity glass on braodview - they make stain glass -- beautiful , also one of my favourite words!

This building is actually a law office with apartments upstairs -- you can't see it really well but the window on the left has haning butterflies, and the window on the right has a granny square quilt -- my guess - the woman that lives there, is young and creative in her early to mid twenties -- just starting out in life -- or that's the story in my head anyway

And this beautiful lady at Tim's -- everyday she says Good morning and hands me my Tim Hortons, already made and ready because she see's me in line -- always smiling, always friendly. It is nice to know each other by name... and my coffee is always just right

So these are just a few of the things I see on my way to work -- they always make me smile.. Good way to start the day..

What is your favourite sight on your way to work?

This is exactly why walking to work is so great. And it's a good argument for people like my husband who moved me out to the middle of nowhere because he said there was so much more to see out here! All I see are hay fields!

You just made me laugh out loud -- I am and will always be a city girl to the depth of my soul -- I love the fresh smell of the country -- right out of the tide bottle!! Hay fields are really pretty. When they do those roll up hay things, what are they for?
